Iconic Brands That Disappeared 1940-2011

In 1931, Jim Crockett, Sr. began promoting professional wrestling from his home base of Charlotte, North Carolina (though his first shows were in eastern Tennessee). Crockett also promoted other events (including musical concerts, theatrical plays, and minor league baseball and ice hockey) under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions (with the company being officially incorporated as such in the 1950s).
